People around the world have listened to rumors of another World War. New reports bring a suffering world into our living space. We see natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, snowstorms, and wildfires.
And yet, Jesus told us not to worry about daily life: “So do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Mattew 6: 31-34)
What should we learn from this? Paul summarized by saying, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
This is difficult for most Christians. How is peace possible for those who have never heard His Word? It’s time to share what you know about the Lord.
He said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15) And that message was not limited to the disciples. He was speaking to all who believe. What is the Lord saying to you?
